Surprisingly, I heard that Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), named Dana Airline the best airline in Nigeria. the FAAN’s Regional General Manager, Mr. Chris Bature, said Dana has not commenced operation since the crash but later award the prize for its good customer relations and prompt payment of dues.
Bature elaborated that the airline was selected due to its outstanding performance and punctuality while Lufthansa Airlines was also selected as the best international carrier for the same period. Bature said that selection was made with the following attribute; passenger capacity, frequency of the landing and take-off, their response to payment of bills.
I see this as compensation to Dana Airline, because I learnt that the government has no right to seize Dana Airline license at the period of the incident.
Do Dana Airline deserve the award?
